Tallahassee, FL – June 13, 2019 – The Mitchells Agency, a full-service advertising agency in Tallahassee, has won two National Gold Awards at the American Advertising Federation’s (AAF) 2019 National American Advertising (ADDY) Awards competition. The ADDYs is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition – attracting over 40,000 entries each year in local AAF Ad Club Competitions. The mission of the American Advertising Awards competition is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising. For those in the advertising industry, especially those at the small or mid-size level like The Mitchells, winning a National ADDY award is the pinnacle of success.
“Looking at the list of incredible agencies we competed alongside, we are both so proud and extremely humbled to have earned these awards,” said Robin Stefanovich, President and CEO of The Mitchells. “Our award-winning work spans across a vast platform – highlighting both a range of industries, from healthcare to QSR, and a range of our core capabilities, from creative and design to digital and social media. It really shows that you can inspire great work across any business as long as you connect with their audience.”
The Mitchells’ two awards included a National Gold ADDY Award in the category of “Local Television Commercial :30 seconds” and another National Gold ADDY Award in the category of “Local Television Commercial Campaign.” Selection of the most creative entry in each category is affected by a scoring process in which a panel of judges evaluates all creative dimensions of every entry. A Gold ADDY is recognition of the highest level of creative excellence and is judged to be superior to all other entries in the category.
“For a mid-size agency in a small city like us, getting recognized on this level isn’t common, so it’s a huge honor for everyone here at The Mitchells,” said Erich Stefanovich, Chief Creative Officer. “We take pride in finding the right audiences for our clients and creating ownable messaging that connects to them and differentiates the clients from their competition. These ADDY awards help prove that the work we are doing is truly inspiring to not just our clients and their audiences, but to our peers in the industry too.”
Earlier this year, The Mitchells won 25 ADDY awards at the 2019 AAF Tallahassee ceremony held in February, where they were was also named “Agency of the Year,” “Mid-Size Agency of the Year” and took home the “Best of Show” and “Best TV Broadcast” awards. Just a few months later in April at the 2019 AAF District 4 ceremony, The Mitchells won an impressive 11 ADDY awards, including five gold awards and six silver awards, and were also nominated for three Division Charlie Awards.
